Servicing and maintenance contract - terms and conditions.
Homecare gas services offer an annual maintenance contract on your central heating system, boiler and associated controls. This provides a yearly service visit to service the boiler, and to ensure everything is working efficiently.
The Minimum Contract term is for a period of one year. Additional appliances can be included within the contract.

Service Visit
All boiler manufacturers recommend their boiler should be serviced every year. They usually provide basic instructions as to what is required.
This ensures the boiler is working at peak efficiency. We will visit at the start of the contract and annually thereafter to carry out this requrement.
During this visit, the boiler will be serviced as above. This is a proper service, not just a computer excersise.
Breakdown cover
We always endeavour to call out within 24 hours of being called, subject to engineer availability. Where this is not possible, the callout will take place as soon as possible. In General, we will prioritise calls where the customer has been left without central heating or hot water.
What is covered
- Boiler and all its contents.
- Flue System, where this is part of the boiler. (Open Flues ae not covered).
- All Controls. Timer, thermostat, Motorized valves etc
- Pump
- Radiators and Valves
- Central heating pipework, but not plastic
- The costs of parts and labour for any of the above, should faults occur at any time during the period of contract.
What is not covered.
- Damage as a result of fire, lightning explosion, storm, flood, frost earthquake or impact, or any of the other contingencies which are generally insured under the normal house buildings policy.
- Any faults or damage caused through incorrect design or installation of your system or its wilful neglect or incorrect use, this includes Sludge buildup.
- Subsequential damage which has occurred due to a fault on the appliance or system.
- Any Enamel and decorative parts
- Any parts which are over 15 years old when requiring replacement, but the labour element will still be covered.
- The replacement of any component in the system should the appliance become obsolete and we are unable to locate a suitable spare part.
note that spares are often available even although an appliance becomes obsolete.
the definition of obsolete, is where the manufacturer no longer provides spare parts for the appliance
-
Corrosion and Rust.
Note :- Corrosion, which attacks radiators from inside out, is nearly always due to installation faults which cause air to be continually entrained into the system, thereby promoting the corrosion process.
this same process also produces excessive sludge build up in the system Sludge is just the by product of the corrosion.
Years of experiance has also shown that systems with plastic pipework are especially prone to this condition, even the so called barrier pipe.
We will cover systems with plastic pipework, but this will be at theEngineers discression.
Note also, that mice like to chew on plastic pipe.causing considerable damage.
